Challenge Malta – Swim, Bike and Run in the heart of the Mediterranean.
The 1.9km swim, 90km ride and 21.1km run triathlon provides a spectacular route with beautiful coast views with the final run passing through both buzzing, vibrant harbour towns and the historical capital.
Following the two-lap swim in the open waters of the crystal clear Mediterranean Sea, the hilly bike course is five laps, one longer lap of 23.5km and four shorter laps of 16km, along the coast road and over a fast inland section. The run course is a single leg of a run from the coast, through vibrant harbour towns providing spectacular views and ample opportunity for spectators to cheer athletes on.
The race concludes in the stunning 16th century capital of Malta, Valletta. Athletes head up a long hill through Floriana towards the city gate with a flat fast sprint to the finish which is marked by the impressive Triton fountain.
